Vera Bradley and Baby Shopping

Yesterday I had a great time hanging out with my family. Erin leaves soon, so it has been great to be able to spend time with her.

While I was hanging out I got a couple calls and texts from my friends. First it was a text photo from Amber of a hamper that reminded her of a Vera bag because it had a different color inside than the outside. She was out baby shopping with our friend Sophia. After baby shopping they headed to Vera Bradley! It was only Sophia's second visit to a Vera Bradley store and really the first time that she really took a look at it. It turns out that I was right when I said that she might like Hello Dahlia! She called me after they headed out of the store to say that she did like it. The other one that caught her eye was Baroque...it is the inside lining for Vera Vera right now. So we might be exchanging the Sittin' in a Tree Baby Bag that we bought for her. I think that Baroque would be a great choice! Green is her favorite color. She loves green like I love Vera :)
Here is the hamper that reminded Amber of Vera because it had a coordinating fabric on top and inside.

Doesn't this bedding remind you of Baroque?!

Winter 2010 Patterns!

I feel like the Winter 2010 Patterns are already out since they previewed them a while back, but in reality they dont get released until a little later this month. Sept 23rd is their official release date and this time around there are 5 new patterns! Kind of overwhelming. The new colors are Baroque, Buttercup, Twirly Bird Navy, Twirly Bird Pink and Versailles. I dont have really good pictures of the colors so I am going to send you over to Discount Fabric and Bags to check out their pictures. http://discountfabrichandbags.com/blog/get-ready-for-the-vera-bradley-winter-2010-patterns/

Which one is your favorite? I think that I want something in Twirly Bird Navy!

Help a Fellow 3 Day Walker Out!

So by now you should all know how important finding a cure for breast cancer and the 3 Day Walk are to me. I was browsing through some blogs and came across Cute as a Fox. Her sister is walking in the 3 Day and is in a contest to win a $250 donation! That is huge since we each have to raise $2,300. Please take a minute to check out the blog post and then vote for her sister!

This is a great way to help out if you can't make a donation. Thanks!

Today feels like a Monday!

Not much to mention today, I have been super busy this week. I am in the middle of a work marathon! I have been working since Aug 24th without a day off. Plus my online class started this week as well. So I am feeling a little overwhelmed and not very inspired to write.

Something worth mentioning is that starting today the Medley Tote is availble! You can pick one up for just $25 (retail $50) when you spend at least $50 in the store.

I know I said that I was going to list all of the bags I am going to sell this week, but I think that it has to wait until next week. I realized I dont have enough boxes to mail them all, so I better wait.

Raffle Winner!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the raffle...Linda, Diana and Amber! I raised $85. I was hoping for $300, but I will take what I can get. At least it is $85 to a cause that is close to my heart. So far I have raised $1,433! Only $867 to go until I reach my goal of $2,300!

I cut up everyone's name for the amount of entries that they had and put them in my Seaside Floppy Hat.

And the winner is...

Congrats Amber! Your new tote will be mailed to you this week!

Vera Sighting

So I had an unusual Vera Sighting yesterday. A woman was carrying this bag which is obviously not a Vera bag, but it is a Vera print! It is Peacock! It has a tag on it that says Parenting, so I am guessing maybe she got it with a magazine subscription. I was so shocked to see a VB fabric used for a different bag. I had heard before that sometimes they use prints that they find and that were available for other people to buy, but I never thought that I would see a bag made out of the same fabric.
