Vera Bradley Floral Nightingale & Zoya Julieanne

Last time I was in a Vera Bradley store one of the women offered me a water bottle while I was waiting at the register to complete my check out.  I love these little water bottles, they are so fun!

Today while I was straightening up my room I noticed that my nail polish coordinated pretty well with Floral Nightingale.  My polish was bright red for NYE, but I repainted them a dark sparkly purple for work this week.  This color is Julieanne by Zoya.

Do you have any favorite polishes that match your Vera Bradley bags?

Vera Bradley Birthday Party!

Let me start by saying this post has entirely too many photos.  I considered splitting it into two posts, but decided to just go for it! So get ready for a lot of scrolling!

Last night I got to attend my very first Vera Bradley party! I can't even tell you how excited I was.  I even got approval to leave work 15 minutes early (4:45) because I was afraid I was going to hit traffic on my way to the party and be late for the 6:30 start.  Well, I made it to the mall at 5:35, which actually worked out perfectly because I was able to grab a bite to eat and then head to the store to meet up with some of my Vera Friends :)

A line started to form around 6:00pm, so we moved over to the line.  There were only 4 people ahead of us.  They let us in about 6 at a time, I was in the first group!!

The first thing that I did was sign up for the drawings!

Next I was off to get my $29 100 Handbag!  Plum Petals please!
They were bringing out bags one by one, but eventually bought out a huge basket/tote filled with them!  Everyone wanted one, if not two or three!

Next stop, cupcakes!! I am kind of surprised I didnt go here first! Haha.  Super cute mini cupcakes with purple sprinkles.   See the picture below for the cupcake toppers.  They also had Purple Punch (get it??) and mini water bottles.  Such a cute set up!

Make a wish!

Me and mini cupcake #1, I think that I had 3.  Guess I didnt have enough at dinner, haha.

So many people at the store! The line to check out was long and it never got shorter.  Seemed like everyone has at least one 100 Handbag!

Me and my Vera Friends!!!  I had such a great time shopping with all of them! Christina even won one of the prizes!! From the Cabin collection she won a Boxy Tote & Cosmetic along with an Accordion Wallet.   Speaking of the Accordion Wallet, I might have to try one out when my Turn Lock Wallet finally wears out.  I really like how much stuff it can hold! Thanks ladies for a fun night!

They gave out Button Coin Purses for bringing in a vintage bag or bringing in a photo of your collection.  I brought in a photo of my collection, since the Anastasia Villager I took wasnt from before 2000.  Actually the photo is from this post. Now I finally have something in Mocha Rouge!  I thought that I would also include my Plum Petals water bottle.  Thanks for the coin purse!

Speaking of vintage bags...this woman had so many vintage bags with her! She also had two of the teddy bears, so of course I had to go take a photo.  I kind of cut off half of her face and since I didnt tell her that I was going to post this on my blog, I decided to protect the innocent, haha.  The bears love the blog by the way.

Now to some pictures of the beautiful invitation!

I got out of the store without doing too much damage to my wallet.  I picked up the 100 Handbag in Plum Petals...at $29 I just couldnt pass it up.  I also picked up some stationary, Mocha Rouge cards and Safari Sunset cards.  Everyone who attends the party gets a free gift! I wasn't expecting anything, but was excited to find out that they were giving us cocktail napkins and party cups! By the time I decided to get in line they were out of Mocha Rouge and Plum Petals cups.  I'm not really a fan of Safari Sunset (the cards are for my Mom) so when they offered to have the cups shipped to me I picked that option so that I could get the Mocha Rouge set.  I am excited to get them!

Thank you so much to the women at the Vera Bradley store for hosting such a wonderful event!  I had a great time and really enjoyed being around so many other women who love Vera Bradley as much as I do. It was a neat experience and I can't wait to attend another one!

New Loves Me

Yesterday my new Hipster in Loves Me and my new Water Bottle in Loves Me arrived!!! I ordered them from the San Francisco Signature Store and they got here pretty quick!

I decided that I did need another bag that I could wear across my body when I am going to be out and about, so I ordered a Hipster in Loves Me. Before I wasn't so sure about the style of the Hipster and preferred the Saddle Up, but I think that I am really going to like it. I would have been perfect for the fair last week. I hope that I use the water bottle a lot.

I love getting new stuff!

Back from Vacation!

I had a great time in Northern California this weekend. Here are some photos.

Amber picked up a Paprika Bucket Tote and Hope Garden Taxi Wallet for me at the preview party/sale last month and had it waiting for me when I got there. She also bought me a Beach Towel! I love it! She also had collected a couple of water bottles.

My new Bucket Tote was perfect for the Pacific baseball game, since our colors are orange and black.

Thirsty? Grab a water bottle!

If you ever go to a Vera Bradley Signature Store you might be lucky enough to get a water bottle. If you shop long enough, they will usually offer you one. I don’t know about you, but I work up a thirst shopping at a Signature Store. I can spend so much time in there! One time we asked for one, I forget who I was with, but I think that we asked at the Sacramento store. They are so cute! They always have them in the current colors. I have Daisy Daisy, Frankly Scarlet, Hope Garden, Symphony in Hue, Loves Me and Totally Turq. I don’t know why I have held on to them, they are just sitting on my counter taking up space. I still haven’t used the Daisy Daisy or Totally Turq. I think that it is time to let these bottles go. Make sure to pick one up next time you shop at a Signature Store!

Signature Store - Honolulu, Hawaii

There is nothing like shopping at a Vera Bradley Signature Store! In July of 2008 I went to Hawaii for my friend Sophia’s wedding. I knew that there was a Vera Bradley signature store in Honolulu so I asked my friends if they would mind going there. My friends knew I loved Vera, so they were up for visiting the store. They didn’t know what they were in for, I didn’t either for that matter.

We walked in and the whole store in floor to ceiling Vera Bradley! I was so excited! I don’t know if my friends had ever seen me so excited before! They started asking questions about bags and I was rattling off answers as fast as I could. One of the employees came over to see if we had any questions. The funny part was that I was able to answer some of my friend’s questions better than she could. I knew that I wanted to buy a bag, because the sales tax is Hawaii is lower than in California and I love to save a buck. I picked out a Morgan in Raspberry Fizz. We probably looked at all the bags in the store. I was almost ready to check out when I spotted Raspberry pajama shorts on sale in Raspberry Fizz! I had to get them, they matched my bag!

Vera Bradley was giving out a gift with purchase! Yay! I got a mini traveler key chain in Raspberry Fizz. The woman at the store had so much fun with me and my friends that she gave them each a key chain too! So Amber, Alicia, Beth and Kristine all got a souvenir from their first Vera Bradley Signature store.

There was one more surprise. I had read online that the stores would once and a while give out water bottles with the print of current patterns on them. Well, I had just finished checking out and the woman at the store told us to hold on for a minute. When she returned she had 5 water bottle for us! They are just mini water bottles, but they are so fun. They deserve their own post, so be on the look out for that.

Shopping at a Vera Bradley Signature is one of my favorite things!
