Trip to St. Louis for the Nerium Get Real Convention!

Last week I flew to St. Louis to spend four amazing days at the Nerium Get Real 2014 Convention!  Last time I flew to St. Louis my luggage got lost, so this time I made sure to carry on my luggage.  I packed up my Boysenberry 22" spinner and a plain backpack.  I got so many compliments on my suitcase this trip!  It sure does stand out!  I also knew that I would be coming up with some additional items, so I packed a Small Duffel in English Rose in my bag.  It worked out great! I packed the extra stuff in the small duffel and used that as my carry on bag for the way home and checked my suitcase.  I figured better to loose your suitcase on the way home than on your way to vacation!  And it didn't get lost, so that was awesome!

We took a little time to be tourists.  We went to the arch and to the Budweiser brewery tour, along with some other local spots.

Vera Bradley Boysenberry Luggage

Last Thursday my Vera Bradley luggage arrived!  I went down to pick up my package before work on Friday because I was expecting my luggage to arrive on Saturday and was excited to see that it was my luggage.  So I carried it upstairs and dropped it off.  My weekend was so crazy and then the storm came, so didn't have a chance to open it up until today.  

I am in love with this luggage!  I have been using the same red suitcase since 2001 and it is pretty worn out.  You can even see particle board at the bottom...yikes!  I was so excited when Vera Bradley had it 60% off, plus $25 off AND free shipping it was just too good of a deal to pass up!  Vera Bradley luggage has been on my wish list for quite a while and I am glad to finally have it!  And thanks to my parents for the 22" spinner...that is an early birthday present. 

I will have to take some pictures of the inside and what came with them when I get a chance.

Vera Bradley Boysenberry East West Tote From Rue La La

So funny story about this bag from Rue La La.  I was excited about all of the great Vera Bradley bags that Rue La La had a couple weeks ago and decided that I wanted to try an East West Tote because I don't end one yet.  I also don't have a bag in Boysenberry, but think that it will be great with all of the blue that I wear.  I put the bag in my cart and checked out pretty quickly not paying attention to the shipping address...big mistake.  So on Thursday I tracked my bag and it said that it was delivered.  I live in a huge apartment building now and they always leave a slip for you when you have a package, but I didn't get a slip.  I asked the woman if she could please check to see if the package arrived since it said that it had been delivered and she agreed to look, but came back and said she couldn't find it.  I figured maybe it would show up the next day, but no such luck.   I was pretty busy so I didn't get a chance to investigate until Sunday morning.  I looked in my Rue La La account and saw that I had never updated my mailing address and it got delivered to the house I used to live at.  Oops.  Good thing the house is only about a mile away...I so headed over there to see if it was there.  It wasn't on the porch so I knocked on the door but there was no answer.  I left a note and my phone number hoping that I would hear back about my package.  I ran the rest of my errands and sure enough on my way back home they called and had my package, so I was able to swing by and pick it up!  I was so relieved!  I would have been really disappointed in myself for messing that one up if I didnt get the bag.

The inside had three slip in pockets and there is a hidden magnet that closes the top of the bag. 

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I will post about it when I do so that you can see how much fits inside.  I was always worried that it would stick out too far behind me, so we shall see about that as well. I think that I am going to like it though! 
PS. Last night I ordered these little gems from Rue La La...can't wait until that packages arrives...and yes, I updated my address :)  Yay macarons!

Flirties Jewelry Giveaway

Check out this really fun, cute jewelry from Flirties!  They sent me some jewelry from their Spring 2011 and Summer 2011, it goes great with the Vera Bradley colors!  They make Vera Bradley color coordinated necklaces, bracelets and earrings! My friend Amber was lucky enough to be able to to go the Vera Bradley store in Roseville, CA yesterday! And I was lucky to have her send me some pictures! I also broke down and ordered a Folkloric Get Carried Away Tote. I had Amber pick it out for me so that it would have good pattern placement, plus I kind of wanted the Peek-a-Boo Coin Purse, so I got one to match my new tote. I was just going to have Amber hold on to it until I come visit again, but decided to have it shipped. Amber was nice enough to use the money left on her gift card to pay for the shipping! She seriously made my day by helping me pick out a tote and having it shipped! It is definitely the highlight of my not so awesome week. Oh and by the way...I was on the phone with her taking care of all this while I was at my kickball game! I hope to get my new tote by Wednesday :)
