My Latest Vera Bradley Purchase - Summer 2014

I haven't been receiving Vera Bradley's emails with coupon offers anymore.  I would say it has been at least three months since I received on.  So I feel the pain some of you have with Vera Bradley's unpredictable email and mailing programs. One of my friends was lucky enough to get a 50% off coupon, so we split an order and here is what I got!

 

  I am excited that the Cargo Sling is back!  Last summer on vacation I took an On The Go, but it was a little too small for everything that I wanted to carry and I had to put my umbrella in my sister's bag.  With the Cargo Sling being a little larger, I will be able to carry all of my own stuff.  I am really excited about taking it on vacation in August!  

I am also excited about the Tic Tac Tote.  It is about the same size as the Large Tic Tac Tote Vera Bradley previously made, maybe just an inch different.  The major changes are that there are six slip in pockets on the inside, a slip in pocket on the outside and a zipper closure!  I used this bag all last week to tote stuff to work and it worked out great!  I am probably going to pick on up in another color later on when they are on sale.  

  I picked up the Travel Jewelry Organizer.  I haven't had a chance to use it yet.  Once I get a chance to load it up, I will take more photos.  I think I am really going to love this one!  

    And finally, I got some hair ties!  I love this type of hair tie and was excited that Vera Bradley decided to make this style thing time around.  I haven't opened the pack yet, but once I use them I will let you know how they hold up!

Vera Bradley Plum Crazy Throw Blanket

When I moved back to California I decided it was time for new bedding.  My old duvet was probably from 8 years ago, so I decided a move warranted new bedding.  I fell in love with this bedding and decided to get a Vera Bradley throw blanket to go with it!  Here is the photo from when I was laying it out to see if it coordinated well enough.  I love it!  

The Vera Bradley throw blankets are seriously one of my favorite Vera Bradley items.  They are so soft, light and warm! I have two: Plum Crazy and Very Berry Paisley.

Vera Bradley Shopping Purchases

I am a little late posting my latest purchases, but better late than never!  

I have found some really great deals online and two Saturday's ago I was greeted at the front door by the mailman holding these four packages.  It isn't all Vera Bradley, but they are all good deals.  The one that looks like it is about to explode is my English Rose Throw Blanket that I found on Ebay for just $33! I have been looking for one for a long time and was really excited to get such a good deal on it.  The small brown box next to that one is filled with folded up tissue pom poms for my friend Amber's bridal shower.  The box below that has a bridesmaid dress for my friend Olivia's wedding from Ideeli and the Rue La La box has the Very Berry Paisley Accordion Wallet I got for $15 and a KitchenAid grilling pan...what a combo! 

 I am going on a trip with my sister and I was wishing that Vera Bradley made a bag about the size of the Saddle Up with a zipper, then I had an Aha! moment, the On The Go.  This is the bag my mom loves and uses pretty much daily, so I guess I just never thought of it for myself.  So it was off to the Vera Bradley store to pick one up with my $25 off a $75 purchase coupon!

Since the bag is $70 I picked up a pack of Limes Up hair elastics for $6 to hit my $75+ to be able to use the coupon.  I didn't know it when I headed to the store, but they were also giving away a Market Tote with any purchase of $35 or more, so I picked one up to match my bag. 

 Here is the backside of the bag.  I like that it has a zipper along the back to secure items. 

The inside has three slip in pockets and a zipper pocket.  

Each end has a slip in pocket.  I can fit my iPhone 4S in the end and used the other side for my sunglasses when I was just running inside real quick and didn't want to put them away in their case.  Is there a bag that you ever overlooked, but then realized later it was a great bag for you to use?

Vera Bradley Jewelry Survey Spring/Summer 2013

Vera Bradley has had a couple of surveys lately that seem to be testing new products and what people would be willing to pay for them.  One of the latest is this jewelry survey.  I would be so excited if they came out with this whole line of jewelry! 

Wording from the survey: The goal of the game is to guess what the average person would pay for a variety of styles and let us know your thoughts on each style. 

I think my two favorites are the leather double wrap bracelets and the round earrings!  Can't wait to see these in person.

Selling on Ebay - Plum Crazy Tote & Pink Elephant Pleated Tote

I decided to sell a couple of bags.  Sunday I mentioned the totes that I picked up at the Spring 2013 preview, well three of them got purchased at the 'Buy it now' price, but the fourth (Plum Crazy) had enough action bidding that the 'Buy it now' price was dropped by ebay.  The auction ends Aug 25, 201220:54:32 PDT.  Check out the auction by clicking here. 

Up next is a Pink Elephant Pleated Tote that I purchased and never used.  These are really hard to find because Vera Bradley only made them for a short time.  This is a retired color and style.  Pink Elephant is one of the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation colors.  I started the bidding out at 99 cents! Vera Bradley Spring 2013 In Store Preview - Slideshow

Vera Bradley currently is previewing the Spring 2013 colors at select Vera Bradley stores.  Yesterday I was able to go to one of the stores and check out the new colors.  I can't tell you how excited I am about ALL of these colors.  They are so beautiful in person and I would carry all of these! 

The new colors are Jazzy Blooms, Go Wild, Midnight Blues & Plum Crazy.  Check out the video below for a slide show of the prints.  It includes photos of the inside prints.  And I had to pick something up for myself, so I exchanged a Grand Traveler that I received in Camellia for one in Jazzy Blooms.  I LOVE it!!
