  1. Is it just me, or are the prices going way up?? I can't believe that they new small hipster is $50; but I can't remember how much the old one was, so maybe that's not a good example. Another example I can't believe is that it's almost $200 for a twin or full comforter that feels rough and cheap.

It also seems like they are going in two totally completely directions. Right now/Fall is directed towards teens and college kids. The patterns coming out for Winter look very dated and so disappointing. There is really nothing that appeals to me (the late 20's- 30's group) until Spring 2013.

The only thing I can see myself getting until the Spring collection comes out (I REALLY hope that those colors you posted for Spring 2013 are what they go with- I do like almost all of those!) is the throw blanket in Suzani.

Kind of disappointed all the way around with Vera lately.

    What about you guys?

  2. I agree. Where are the other Fall patterns?? The PROVINCIAL looked really nice. I also LOVE the patterns for Spring 2012. I like the dated looking patterns like English Rose, though I doubt that I will get anything in it.

  3. I like the new mailbag! Looking forward to other colors though, none of these three are quite for me.

  4. Oh man I love the mailbag in the Indigo Pop! I know I'm not the target audience (late 30's here!) but I really want one for fall. Is the Three-O tote an updated version of the Villager?

  5. I adore Provencial. I think I will save getting the new On the Go for when it comes put. Hooray for a 53" strap!!

    1. This so much. I can't wait for Provincial to come out. I've got a Kindle Touch and I do have a case for it, but I want an e-reader sleeve for more protection for it, and Provincial is the pattern I want it in.

  6. Considering how much Vera I have, I am happy when I don't find colors that I'm crazy about! : ) I agree that the winter colors look dated, but I think those patterns address the requests of so many "senior" buyers who don't like the "youthful" patterns. They requested the old-school patterns. I personally LOVE the new winter Dogwood pattern and will adding that to my Christmas list.

I agree about the prices going up, but the enjoyment and anticipation of sales, special offers, coupons etc. keep me going! I also buy from several sources including local stores (no shipping!), vera bradley (great sale selection), eBay (tax savings and a light discount) and Craigslist (great prices for veteran patterns!)

  7. Hey Alison! I wasn't sue if you went to the new release event today (and if you did, what store you were at since I know we live nearby each other). The event was a lot of fun! I wrote about it here (they gave out nail polishes! How perfect!!).

    2. It was REALLY early - I was hoping our store would be the evening event, but those were only stand alone stores. Thanks for sharing it!

  8. Disappointed in the quality once again. I ordered two small duffles for my daughter and one for me. The stitching was totally not even sewn in over 3 inches on the handle and a huge long connecting thread was hanging where it should have been stitched. Also the other duffle was defectively sewn at the corner. I think I am slowly getting over Vera and their cheap China sewing. I ordered my mom a Little Mandy for Mother's Day and the handles were totally coming unstitched over the ENTIRE BAG.

  9. So, I just saw the new On The Go bag! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about this update. They made the strap longer, which was something that I felt was really lacking in the old On The Go. The added a zip pocket inside as well as keeping the pockets it already came with. Anyone here get their hands on this bag yet? Opinions?
