Vera Bradley at TJ Maxx

I ran to TJ Maxx over the weekend just to check out what they had available and unexpectedly found some Vera Bradley.  It feel like it has been a while since I have heard of anyone finding any at TJ Maxx.

Here's what I found:
Perfect Pocket Tote in Buttercup on clearance for $32

Sunglass Case in Slate Blooms for $7.99...well I think $7.99 maybe $6.99

Got It Handled in Sittin in a Tree and Call Me Coral...didn't check the price on these

Nothing that I wanted to buy, but a good reminder to check out the purses next time you are at TJ Maxx (and Marshalls too).

Vera Bradley Boysenberry East West Tote From Rue La La

So funny story about this bag from Rue La La.  I was excited about all of the great Vera Bradley bags that Rue La La had a couple weeks ago and decided that I wanted to try an East West Tote because I don't end one yet.  I also don't have a bag in Boysenberry, but think that it will be great with all of the blue that I wear.  I put the bag in my cart and checked out pretty quickly not paying attention to the shipping address...big mistake.  So on Thursday I tracked my bag and it said that it was delivered.  I live in a huge apartment building now and they always leave a slip for you when you have a package, but I didn't get a slip.  I asked the woman if she could please check to see if the package arrived since it said that it had been delivered and she agreed to look, but came back and said she couldn't find it.  I figured maybe it would show up the next day, but no such luck.   I was pretty busy so I didn't get a chance to investigate until Sunday morning.  I looked in my Rue La La account and saw that I had never updated my mailing address and it got delivered to the house I used to live at.  Oops.  Good thing the house is only about a mile away...I so headed over there to see if it was there.  It wasn't on the porch so I knocked on the door but there was no answer.  I left a note and my phone number hoping that I would hear back about my package.  I ran the rest of my errands and sure enough on my way back home they called and had my package, so I was able to swing by and pick it up!  I was so relieved!  I would have been really disappointed in myself for messing that one up if I didnt get the bag.

Rue La La package

It was in a huge zip lock style bag

My new bag!

The inside had three slip in pockets and there is a hidden magnet that closes the top of the bag.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I will post about it when I do so that you can see how much fits inside.  I was always worried that it would stick out too far behind me, so we shall see about that as well. I think that I am going to like it though!

PS. Last night I ordered these little gems from Rue La La...can't wait until that packages arrives...and yes, I updated my address :)
Yay macarons!

Vera Bradley Provencal Saddle Up

When the new set of Fall colors were released you might recall that I went to the Vera Bradley store to check out the new styles and colors.  After wearing a Mailbag around for a while, I decided on a Saddle Up in Provencal.  The Mailbag was a little too big and boxy for me. The store hadn't received any, so they ordered it for me and had it delivered to me at home. (Side note: If a Vera Bradley store is out of an item that they normally would have, they will have it shipped to you for free.) It arrived last week and all I can say is that I made the right choice!  This is a great bag and I am really loving it so far.
Package arrived!  VB catalog, receipt and tissue wrapped Saddle Up.

Another of the inside of the box, just because I love it! Box flaps say: 'Smile from head to toe' 'Be colorful' 'Swim upsteam'

My new Saddle Up!

Here it is on my desk at work

Here is all of stuff I had inside: Accordion Wallet, Sunglass Case, Tune In, mini Water Bottle, Zip ID Case & keys. It is kind of hard to see in the photo, but there are two slip in pockets under the flap, then there are two more slip in pockets on the inside, along with a zipper pocket and there is another zipper pocket on the back of the bag.

Here is another quick photo snapped on the way to lunch.  Vera Bradley had a post on Inside Stitch about matching your Vera Bradley and nail polish and mine just happened to match on Friday. On Twitter and Instagram you can use hashtag #VBstyleshare
I can fit more into the Saddle Up than my Hipster, so that makes me pretty happy.  I love all of the pockets because it helps keep everything so organized. The new style looks great, I dont miss the pleats or silver loop on the front.  The boarder used to be the large one and it went down the middle, now they  use the small one and have it in two stripes on the front of the bag, I like the way it looks!  And this color...I am not normally a fan of yellow, but this color is so gorgeous in person.  There are so many colors in it that is goes with so much that I own.  Today I wore a coral color shirt and was going to change my bag, but this goes perfectly.  I would have never guessed that I would like it so much, but it is probably going to be my go to bag this fall!  I definitely recommend the new Saddle Up!
