Camellia Two Way Tote from Rue La La Arrived!

My order from Rue La La arrived, but I am not sure if I am going to keep it.  I really want to love Camellia.  It seems like a color that would go with a lot of things and that I could carry when I dont want something so colorful (like that ever happens, anyways!).  The flowers make me think of a funeral  for some reason.  I think that this is going back, but I am going to think about it a few more days.

Are there any colors that you want to like, but they just don't work for you?

I also ordered a Grand Tote in Mocha Rouge, but I got an email later that day that they ran out of it and I wouldn't be receiving one.  That is if the first time that has happened to be from Rue La La.  I was kind of disappointed, but next time I will just have to shop earlier to make sure I get what I want.

  1. I got an east west tote in provencial and love the colors, it was a nice price at 17.49 from the premium outlets when they had their 50% off sale. I am hoping that it will not show dirt after awhile. i have the grand tote in Jazzy Blooms, it is a nice color that does not show dirt too easily.

  2. I really thought I would love Canyon but didn't. I wear lots of brown and blues but just didn't like the pattern. As soon as English Rose came out I bought it and just love it! I think I prefer floral patterns. Not too sure about the upcoming patterns because they seem so geometric to me. I just barely like Marina Paisley; liked Summer Cottage better..

    1. I love Camellia because it is so neutral--blacks, grey-blues, tans--goes with anything I wear. Yet, it is still a beautiful floral pattern .
I don't know what you have in your garden, but I have camellias and they are a beautiful Winter flower and have seen them carried in wedding bouquets.
I just think the pattern is really a classic and won't go out of style like so many of the other patterns will. Some of these colors are fun but --here today, gone tomorrow.

  4. There are many patterns in the past year or so that I wanted to like, but they just missed the mark for me - Canyon, Marina Paisley, Rosy Posies, Camellia, Plum Crazy.

  5. I think it's funny how different people are drawn to such different things. Camellia is really my favorite pattern since I got started with Vera. The black, taupe and grey b coordinate so well with my wardrobe. Ironically, it seems like even though dedicated Vera fans didn't fall in love with it, non-Vera people LOVE it. I can't count the number of friends who have said "your other bags are a little much for me. . But I would definitely carry that."

I've decided to use Camellia for my travel stuff because I agree that it won't go out of style. I have a grey Samsonite rolling suitcase that I use with my Weekender and accessories.
