Vera Bradley Summer 2014 Preview OhMyVera.com

Time for a sneak peak at Vera Bradley's Summer 2014 colors!

Flutterby, Fanfare, Flower Shower and Petal Paisley will be coming out in time for summer.  Petal Paisley will be the new Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer pattern (Ribbons is the current pattern for the foundation).  I am generally a fan of paisley prints, so I am excited for the new foundation color.

Release date: March 20, 2014

All the colors in this release are so different from each other, hopefully there is something for everyone!

Which summer color you most looking forward to?

  1. Nice! I like Fanfare and Flower Shower. I think Petal Paisley looks too much like Ribbons.

  2. I agree, why make it look.so.much like Ribbons, and I adore Ribbons. any retirement news on it so I can stock.up at a discounted rate? All I.have is the grand tote in.it, and I really want a smaller purse plus anything else I.can get my hands on at a retirement discount. As for these I'm most looking forward to flutterby, even the butterfly print inside us amazing. Fanfare does nothing to me. and Flower Shower is far from.what I'd normally like, but it intrigues me- I'll have to see it on a full size item. I'm glad to see these. Canterbury Cobalt in.the last release is the only one I have any half interest in at all bit it woyld take a freebie guft or major coupon/markdown for me to get anything in it. nothing as good as Heather and la Tutti Frutti before that. so I definitely enjoy these for a change! Yay, VB!

    1. Yes, I agree. Nothing I really like from these. Heather and Tutti Frutti last year were amazing. I liked Marina Paisley as well. It did not photograph well but in person is so pretty.

  3. Another season with nothing for me. :-(
Guess I may be getting to old for Vera (is that possible?).
The Petal Paisley reminds me of Ribbons, which I love, but this new pattern is not nearly as pretty. I'm not a Paisley person so that my be part of it. The others don't do anything at all for me. Very disappointed.

  4. I agree with the previous comment that none of these is as good as Heather or Tutti Frutti. I am extremely underwhelmed by these new patterns as well as the recently released winter ones. I had been so optimistic in the spring that after a dry spell I would be enjoying new patterns again. Until the next Fall release (2014) I guess I'm sticking with Heather. Hopefully VB will at least introduce some new styles and pieces that I like.

  5. I like Flower Shower, but none look very summery to me.

  6. These patterns don't interest me much. I'm thinking of staying with Heather until Spring than get my Lili Bell out. Summer may also be a rerun of either my Summer Cottage or Marina Paisley. I like a red, white and blue for the Summer months.

  7. I haven't found a single pattern that I absolutely HAD to have since Viva La Vera. And two of my three VLV bags need to be replaced soon. I'm afraid I'll never find another pattern that speaks to me. :(

  8. I can't see myself carrying Flutterby, though butterflies were the thing that really got me about Ribbons. Petal Paisley looks so much like Ribbons - pretty, but I like Ribbons better. Fanfare calls to me the most, but I am sitting here with my Citron tote (Spring 2014 preview), and it's very similar. I've seen other (slightly different?) pictures of Flower Shower, and I didn't like it, but here I really love it!!! It's the rain drops...

But, we'll see how they all look in person! It's so fun to see the new patterns. Thank you for sharing!

  9. Flower Shower is my favorite, but I like Petal Paisley a lot too.

  10. I actually like three out of the four, not a fan of Petal Paisley. That being said, I no longer buy VB handbags. The patterns are too much for me now, but I do enjoy their smaller items very much.

    1. I hadn't realized I have been doing the same thing until I read your comments! I have thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the new smaller travel items but have been staying away from the handbags. The new patterns are often too much. For larger travel pieces I still pull out my old pieces with small prints such as classic black.

  12. I don't think Flutterby or Flower Power looks similar to any previous ones. I was INCREDIBLY disappointed with Summer, Fall and Winter 2013 and Spring 2014, I did not like one pattern and didn't think they were pretty in the slightest. The only one I had was one of the Disney ones that was given to me as a gift. Even Tutti Fruiti I was disappointed with because online it looks turquoise but in person it is mint green. So I am sort of excited for Flutterby and Flower Power since they are appealing.

  13. I loved Ribbons, so hopefully I will like Petal Paisley. Fanfare has possibilities. I was very disappointed almost all the colors they brought out in the past year. I liked Ribbons, as I said, but I think the last colors I really loved was Happy Snails and Ellie Blue, and Rhythm and blues before them.

  16. I love the inside pattern of Flower Shower!

  17. I really like the Flower Shower. BUT...what I am really Hoping is that when these come out on March 20th, that ANY decent pattrn will come available on sale for the Medium hanging organizer. Currently the only ones in sale are (obviously) some very unpopular patterns. I admit, I never got into ribbons or tutti frutti like everyone else.A hospitla inspector came yesterday with what appears to be "flower Shower" going to have to ask her, once we finish the inspection...
