Vera Bradley Outlet Sale Information 2013 #VBOS13

The Vera Bradley Outlet Sale is probably the biggest Vera Bradley event of the year!  It is still on my bucket list, but when you work in events it can be hard to get to.  Every April I am working the weekend of the outlet sale.
This year's Vera Bradley Outlet Sale (Twitter hashtag #VBOS13) will be April 9-14 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.   Tickets will be required for April 9, 10 & 11 and admission is free April 12, 13 & 14.  Tickets for the first three days are $5 and will go on sale February 1st.  They are not currently listed on Ticketmaster, but that is how they were available last year.

For ticketed days, you will have to buy a ticket for a specific session.  Session times are 7:30am - 10:00am, 11:00am - 1:30pm, 2:30pm - 5:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:30pm.  There are 3,500 tickets available for each session.  Each customer can buy up to eight tickets.

Hours for April 12 & 13 are 8:00am - 8:00pm, and April 14 is 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Note: parking is $4 for the main lot and $8 in the preferred lot.

Last year there was a $3,500 maximum per person.  I would assume that it will be the same again this year.

You can get all kinds of great deals at the outlet sale!  Plus you never know what you might find.  They will have retired colors and styles, some current stuff and sometimes even retired styles in current colors or the opposite.

The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer will have their quilt on display at the outlet: http://www.verabradley.org/posts/323-2012-Foundation-Ribbons-Quilt-Tour

  2. My sister and I went last year. If you end up in the end part of the line, go directly to the throw-back bins. The tables get cleared off pretty fast, as people grab everything they might remotely be interested in. Then you can put the things you decide you don't want in the huge cardboard bins for the associates to set up in the next session. I found my best stuff in there! Umbrellas, Cha cha totes, hipsters in the latest colors, backpacks..etc. I love the Outlet sale, can't wait!

  3. I am currently lobbying a local retailer to get a bus trip to the sale! I went last year and enjoyed it. This year, I am bringing two friends, Between their gas contributions and the profit from my eBay sales, I usually have a free trip! And I have gifts for a year.

  4. What happens if you go the last three days (the days not requiring a ticket)? Do you just fall in line or does everyone just go in at the same time?

    1. You fall in line but the line is about an hour long. They bring you in and you go up an escalator and then steps so you are on the top floor. The line circles around the top floor, then down to the middle floor and then to the ground level where you are admitted. This is not the sale for you if you can't walk or stand.
