  3. Alison, I'm not sure if you saw my comment on FB but I did return the JB Convertible Crossbody. This was my first purchase from eBags and I wanted to get your opinion. I wasn't sure of the style anyway but I noticed a pull in the cotton that was quite noticeable because it was on a green stripe and the pulled area was white.

I just wondered if you've ever received any defective bags from either eBags or Rue La La. I'm hoping this was just a fluke because eBags has great prices (and a super easy return policy with free FedEx!). I've never ordered from Rue La La.

    1. The bags I have ordered from Ebags and Vera Bradley have all been fine and I havent noticed any difference from the bags that I get directly from Vera Bradley. The Convertible Tote I ordered from eBags did have a small one inch pull on it, but if I liked the style I still would have kept this bag because it isnt that noticeable. I think it is just a fluke that we both got bags like that. I have seen worse come from VB.

    2. I have order many bags in the past 3 months but the one I got from Vera this weekend was Horrible. There whole entire top near the zipper had loose pulled stitching. I don't think it matters where you order from but I am more likely to stick to Vera online. I would like to try Rue La La but with Vera's ify quality issues don't want to pay for shipping and return shipping b/c with Rue if you want store credit for them that is fine (free returns)but otherwise if you want your money back it is $9.95. Tempted b/c of their prices but it seems when I get a defective bag is it really defective lately!

  4. I believe the problem lies with Vera Bradley and the lack of quality control. Vera Bradley SHOULD NOT ACCEPT DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS from its vendors. My ultimate hope is that they will come to realize that yes, they can get cheap purses out of China, BUT WE WON'T BUY THEM. Bring your manufacturing home, Vera Bradley!

    1. Dee, Yes, I am feeling a bit deflated with my Vera love right now! I really like their bags but am getting very disappointed with quality. Sometimes I put up with it b/c I am just too busy at the time and keep the item and other times I call and nicely tell them my problems:) with the defective item.

  5. Rue la la had given a 20 dollar credit for new members this month , so I got the Eloise in Viva la Vera for 2.90!! I had to pay the 9.99 shipping but still that is a STEAL considering it is still going for about 55 dollars on Vera bradley.com! Thank you for posting the deals!!

    1. Hmmm. I just signed up but did not get the credit. I called the company to discuss their returns policy and make sure there was a person on the line, etc. b/c I always try to check out new companies before ordering. Lady was nice but do not care for their returns policy of store credit only for full refund or full refund minus $9.95 label usage

    2. I dont know if it was random or what. I signed up for Rue la la months ago and had never bought anything. The only way I knew about the credit was by checking out a coupon savings site I visit daily telling people to check their accounts to see if they had recieved the credit. Maybe given as an incentive to people who had an account but not made a purchase yet , and used it to give them a push to purchase. Either way , Deal I got was too good to pass up and was in a pattern I have been wanting in my collection!
