Vera Bradley Stadium Blanket

When you can't decide what color blanket to buy, just buy both! Although one is going to be going back, I just dont know which one yet, hence the reason they are both still in their bags.  I think that I want to keep Mocha Rouge, but then again, maybe I want to keep Happy Snails.

Stadium blankets are 57" x 49"

It has mixed reviews online, some people think that it is a little small, over priced (on sale for $50, reg $65) and not as warm as it promises.  I have yet to open mine yet, so I only got to check it out at the store.  It is polyester on the print side, which I was kind of bummed about and the other side is fleece.  I would say that it is over priced for a fleece blanket, I would probably never go to a department store and spend that much on a small blanket.  Oh the things that I will buy with a Vera Bradley print.

Did you buy a Stadium Blanket?  What are your thoughts on it?

  2. I love my Mocha Rouge blanket! It is perfect to use on the couch as a lap blanket, but it is a little small for anything else. It's also great for tailgates too. You're right, we will do anything for a Vera Bradley print! :)

  3. I bought the Plum Petals blanket. I don't think it's thick enough for using at a football game in November, but I like it for curling up with inside this winter. I loved it, but I also have only bought a lanyard and zip ID case in Plum Petals so far so I was happy to have another piece in that new pattern. I love purple Vera!

  4. if it was a twin quilt size, I would buy that with that kind of money. but 57" x 49"? that's to small for 65 bucks!

  5. I bought Happy Snails and then exchanged it for Mocha Rouge. I haven't used it yet; I probably never will. It's more of a collector's item for me! LOVE it though!

  6. I bought 2 also. I probably will take one back, but I am having the same problem...which one do I keep? I have HS and SS. I love Vera...can't wait until Sept. 22nd.

Thanks, Alison, for such a wonderful blog. =0)

  7. I have to say that I agree with people saying that it is a little small for a stadium blanket. They should have given it a different name and advertised it as more of an indoor throw rather than an outdoor blanket. I bought Mocha Rouge and have used it several times while watching TV or reading.

  8. I bought HS and I love it! I've only used it inside while watching tv. I love to curl up with a blanket, even in the summer. I probably wouldn't take it outside, because it is not that thick. It is big enough for me and my small daughter. I'm glad they were on sale for $50! I wouldn't be opposed to having another, maybe I'll get the next one on ebay! I agree with everyone else...I'll buy anything for a Vera print!

  9. I bought it in Mocha Rouge. A little too small and light for an outdoor blanket...especially for Fall/Winter on the East coast. Plus it might sound silly but I wouldn't want to use it outside because I wouldn't want it to get stained or dirty haha. I do use it as an indoor lap blanket. Maybe you could use it on your plane ride to visit your sister. Other than that I really like the blanket.
